“Pilot Survey Report” of 12th Five Year Plan Project (Bio-Diversity : Primitive Tribal Groups of Chhattisgarh) on Abujmaria, Baiga, Kamar, Pahadi Korwa and Birhor tribes of Chhattisgarh is being prepared by the team members namely Mr. K. M. Sinharoy, Sh. Amit Soni, Sh. R. Roshan and Sh. V. Kumar.

Officials of ZAM, Jagdalpur are in their best endeavor to keep in touch with the officials of Jail, Jagdalpur to materialize the successful completion of the work of preparation of Showcases (Glass Door Steel Almirah) for visual storage of the ZAM reserve collection for the project “Storage Renovation of ZAM, Jagdalpur”.

Mr. K. M. Sinharoy, Sh. R. Roshan and Dr. V. Kumar attended the workshop on PTGs held at ERC, An.S.I., Kolkata from 18th to 20th June , 2012 and jointly presented the “Pilot Survey Report on Primitive Tribal Groups of Chhattisgarh”.

Shri Komal Chandra Bhanjdeo, member of the Bastar Royal Family visited the ZAM, Jagdalpur with his relatives and guests on 12th June 2012 and appreciated the collection and related information. He has pointed out the need for including information related to the royal history in the region and also felt that better documentation in relation to various aspects of the region.

This office has done the audio-visual documentation / coverage of Jatra Puja held at village Madhota, Bastar, Chhattisgarh along with related information on 8th and 9th June 2012. The report writing and documentation is under process.
